The Elta Compact SCD Short Cased Axial Flow Fan is a compact, high-performance ventilation solution designed for applications requiring large volumes of airflow against relatively low system resistance. Its short-cased construction makes it particularly useful where installation space is restricted while still delivering the robust performance required in commercial and industrial ventilation systems.

Available in 7 standard sizes from 315mm to 630mm, the Compact SCD range is capable of delivering airflow rates of up to 4.84m³/s and static pressures of up to 190 Pa. This combination makes it suitable for general extract, supply-air and ventilation applications across a wide variety of professional environments.

High-Efficiency Axial Performance

The Compact SCD features Elta's high-efficiency Series 1 impeller, incorporating adjustable-pitch aerofoil blades manufactured from high-quality GRP. Increased blade chord and twist deliver 7% higher efficiency, helping reduce overall energy consumption while maintaining strong airflow performance.

The increased blade root also reduces stress levels, making the impeller suitable for demanding fan applications. Impellers are factory-set for optimum performance and statically balanced to ISO 14694.

Robust, Corrosion-Resistant Construction

Designed for dependable long-term use, the Compact SCD features an all-metal mild steel casing with the motor and axial impeller contained within the length of the casing. The housing is specially treated for corrosion protection and finished with polyester epoxy powder coating in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045).

This robust, weather-resistant construction makes the SCD suitable for demanding ventilation installations where durability and reliability are essential.

Motor & Speed Control

The range is available with AC motors, including single-phase and three-phase configurations depending on the selected model. Motors feature Class F insulation, IP55 protection and thermal overload protection on applicable single-phase versions.

Speed control can be achieved using compatible stepped transformer controllers or Elta Eltadrive VSD controls, depending on the model. Variable fan control can allow ventilation output to respond more closely to demand, helping reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
