The Elta Raptor SDA Short Cased Axial Flow Fan is a compact, high-performance ventilation fan designed primarily for duct-mounted commercial and industrial ventilation systems. Combining high airflow performance, low noise levels and a space-saving short-cased design, the SDA is an excellent solution where efficient air movement is required without the installation footprint of a traditional long-cased axial fan.

Available in 8 standard sizes from 250mm to 630mm, the Raptor SDA range can deliver airflow rates of up to 4.60m³/sand static pressures of up to 290 Pa. Selected configurations are suitable for operating temperatures of up to +70°C, providing excellent versatility across a wide range of professional ventilation applications.

High-Efficiency, Low-Noise Performance

At the heart of the Raptor SDA is the Ziehl-Abegg FE2owlet aerofoil-profiled impeller. Its sickle-shaped blades incorporate serrated trailing edges and winglets developed using bionic design principles to provide strong aerodynamic performance while reducing operational noise.

Impellers are manufactured from pressure die-cast aluminium or high-performance composite material, depending on the selected model, and are dynamically balanced to ISO 14694 for smooth and dependable operation.

AC & High-Efficiency EC Motor Options

The Raptor SDA is available with both AC and energy-efficient EC motor technology, allowing the appropriate configuration to be selected according to the installation.

EC versions provide excellent energy efficiency alongside built-in motor protection and straightforward commissioning, while AC external-rotor motor variants provide a robust alternative for conventional ventilation systems.

All motors feature Class F insulation and integral thermal overload protection. Models from 250–350mm have IP44 motor protection, while 400–630mm models are rated to IP54.

Robust Commercial Construction

The fan features a durable all-metal mild steel casing and protective guard, specially treated to provide excellent corrosion resistance.

The casing is finished in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045) polyester epoxy powder coating, while the protective guard uses a contrasting black RAL 9005 finish, creating a robust unit suitable for demanding professional installations.

Electrical installation is simplified by an easily accessible IP55 terminal box, allowing convenient connection to the incoming electrical supply.

Flexible Speed Control

All Raptor SDA fans are suitable for speed control, with the exact control method depending on the selected motor and model.

Compatible options include electronic variable control, stepped transformer control, potentiometer control and 0–10V control, allowing airflow to be adjusted according to ventilation demand and potentially reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
