The Elta Slim Qube SSQUHT High Temperature Centrifugal Box Fan is a heavy-duty extraction solution designed for demanding ventilation applications involving high-temperature or contaminated airstreams. Its combination of a high-performance backward-curved centrifugal impeller, insulated construction and motor-out-of-airstream design makes it particularly suitable for challenging commercial kitchen and industrial extraction systems.

Available in four box sizes – 500mm, 670mm, 820mm and 1020mm – the Slim Qube SSQUHT is engineered to handle continuous in-duct air temperatures of up to 120°C. This makes it a strong option for extraction systems where elevated temperatures would make a conventional box fan unsuitable.

High-Temperature Motor-Out-of-Airstream Design

One of the key advantages of the SSQUHT is its motor-out-of-airstream configuration. The motor is positioned away from the contaminated or high-temperature extracted air, helping protect it from the conditions passing through the ventilation system.

This specialist arrangement allows the fan to operate with airstream temperatures of up to 120°C, making it particularly useful for arduous ventilation applications.

High-Efficiency Centrifugal Performance

The SSQUHT incorporates a high-efficiency backward-curved impeller manufactured from EN-AW 5754 aluminium. The impeller features a non-overloading power characteristic, providing reliable and efficient performance across its intended operating range.

Each impeller is dynamically balanced to G6.3 according to ISO 1940-1, helping minimise vibration and support smooth, dependable operation.

Low-Noise Insulated Construction

To help control radiated noise, the Slim Qube is constructed using 25mm-thick double-skinned removable panelscontaining non-flammable acoustic insulation.

This insulated enclosure helps reduce breakout noise from the fan, making the SSQUHT particularly attractive for commercial installations where both extraction performance and operational noise need to be considered.

Flexible Multi-Discharge Design

The interchangeable double-skinned panels allow the fan outlet position to be altered on site, providing greater flexibility when connecting the unit to existing or newly installed ductwork.

This multi-discharge arrangement can simplify installation and makes it easier for engineers to configure the fan around the requirements of the ventilation system.

Heavy-Duty AC Motor

The SSQUHT uses a three-phase, multi-voltage IP55 TEFC motor, providing the durability required for demanding professional ventilation installations.

Motors can be connected at 230V three phase (Delta) or 400V three phase (Star) at 50Hz and are suitable for speed control when paired with an appropriate Elta Eltadrive VSD frequency inverter.
