The Elta Raptor SPA Plate Mounted Axial Flow Fan is a robust, high-performance ventilation solution engineered for demanding commercial and industrial air extraction and supply applications. Described by Elta as an industry workhorse, the SPA combines excellent airflow performance with strength, durability and corrosion resistance for dependable long-term operation.
Available in 9 standard sizes from 250mm to 710mm, the Raptor SPA range can deliver airflow rates of up to 6.27m³/sand static pressures of up to 298 Pa. Selected configurations are suitable for operating temperatures of up to +70°C, providing excellent versatility across a wide range of professional ventilation installations.
High-Efficiency, Low-Noise Performance
The Raptor SPA incorporates high-quality Ziehl-Abegg Sickle Blade or FE2owlet impellers, manufactured from pressure die-cast aluminium or high-performance composite materials depending on the selected model.
These aerodynamically optimised impellers are designed to provide high airflow performance with reduced operational noise and excellent reliability. Each impeller is dynamically balanced to ISO 14694, supporting smooth operation in demanding commercial environments.
AC & High-Efficiency EC Options
The SPA range is available with both AC and EC configurations, allowing the appropriate motor technology to be selected according to the requirements of the ventilation system.
The external rotor motors feature Class F insulation and integral thermal overload protection. Models from 250mm to 350mm feature IP44 motor protection, while larger 400mm to 710mm models are protected to IP54.
Robust, Corrosion-Resistant Construction
Designed for demanding professional installations, the Raptor SPA features an all-metal mild steel fan plate and protective guard. Components are specially treated to provide excellent corrosion protection, helping extend service life in challenging environments.
The fan plate is finished in Telegrey 1 (RAL 7045) polyester epoxy powder coating, while the protective guard is finished in black RAL 9005. Importantly, the SPA is suitable for external mounting as standard, providing greater flexibility when designing ventilation systems.
Easy Installation & Speed Control
Electrical installation is simplified through a weatherproof cable connected to an externally mounted IP55 terminal box, allowing the fan to be conveniently positioned relative to the incoming electrical supply.
The range is also suitable for speed control, with compatible transformer voltage controllers providing five-step speed adjustment for applicable single-phase and three-phase AC motors. This allows airflow to be better matched to actual ventilation requirements.
